Xplornet has two different types of platforms, including LTE. Fixed wireless technology (LTE or WiMax) is served by a tower (like the cell phone) and sends a signal up to 30 km. We install a module (12 inches x 12 inches) on the house, which establishes a link with this tower in order to access the internet.

The difference is that rather than communicating with a tower in the vicinity, the saucer (or antenna) on your roof communicates directly with the satellite in the space. This technology allows us to offer the Internet anywhere in the region, even for homes or cottages in the woods, kilometers from the village, and even without access to electricity.
